All Roughnecks bleed maroon! Another annual Roughneck Blowout is upon us. The 2026 Roughneck Blowout multiclass reunion will be this Saturday at Heritage Hall in West Columbia. It doesn’t matter what years you attended high school at old West Columbia High School, Charlie Brown High School or Columbia High School everyone is invited to gather Saturday at the old gymnasium on East Bernard Street for the big reunion being sponsored by the Columbia Heritage Foundation.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $60 each but can be purchased in advance for $50 each at Bob Barta Lumber Yard and Madeline’s Boutique in West Columbia or you can acquire tickets from CHF board treasurer Tracy Gupton. If you would prefer to buy your tickets online, you can do so by using the QR Code on the attached promotional flyer.

Amber and the Rascals, a popular band that includes Columbia High School graduates Tom Bennett and Tommy Worley among its members, will be providing musical entertainment at this year’s Blowout.

Saturday’s multiclass reunion will kick off at 5 p.m. October 3rd with an hour scheduled for visiting and socializing with old friends and former classmates. A chicken fried steak meal catered by On The River restaurant of Freeport will be served at 6 p.m. There will be a silent and online auction with the live auction slated to occur between 7 and 8 p.m. The band is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday and play until 11 p.m. Other entertainment will include Columbia High School’s cheerleaders and Dancing Dolls.

The annual Roughneck Blowout is the major fundraiser each year for the Columbia Heritage Foundation. All former Roughnecks are encouraged to bid on the many auction items and make donations if able. This year the Heritage Foundation is planning a raffle for a spirit wagon and a gift card apron. Once again, the Columbia Heritage Foundation is hoping for a big turnout at this year’s Blowout.
